Question about Brother MFC 420CN All-In-One InkJet Printer
Remove usb cable, Unistall software and drivers, reinstall software and driver and connect only when software prompts to do so.

If you are removing all old installs and have downloaded the latest drivers to suit whatever operatingsystem you have, and the printer is in a ready state, and under control panel device manager devices there is no ? marks and then you install fresh downloaded driver then plug it in when prompted and it still doesn't work I think you may some computer issues, try this program http://www.3bsoftware.com/products/regis... then redo it, if you still have issues make sure you can copy with your printer, that you are plugging usb into correct socket and tell us what op system you are running.
