Problem for Hoover H130E Front Load Washer

During a power outage we thought the wash programme had finished and we opened the door to remove the washing. The problem now is that the door security light just keeps flashing no matter what programme we try to select, and we do not seem to be able to cancel this by holding down the start button or switching the machine off. As soon as we sitch back on, the same problem occurs and the programme cycle will not start. Any advice appreciated.
