-   I too have this problem and my dishwasher is only a few years old. It is making a different sound, almost like mild grinding, water is going in but it seems to be stalling but still making noise. The detergent dispenser opens during cycle, a small amount of water goes in, can be drained but no washing-help! I am humbily unable to pay for repair right now due to a out of the blue crisis. Any suggestion is very much appreciated!-   dmh0114
