Re: Logitech QuickCam 8.4.8

Hello BP140,
Have you tried site to get a free scan that is sometimes advertised on this site. Also I have had to get into control panel and mess with the audio settings sometimes to get it going. Sometimes in a pinch I have used a spare computer microphone that it seems to find. Also it really matters if you have it connected when the software says to disconnect or reconnect so it can pair up. Let me know what you are finding. Perhaps we can link up to walk through this together. I have a yahoo messenger account that we can try it on once it is up and working to test the sound quality.

If you have 2 cam programs loaded on the same pc you may have a conflict. I would suggest you make a trial with your favourite and uninstall the other software. As a logitech user you have the advantage of being able to launch the toolbar and running the cam from there. You can also use the logitech forum ( they don't answer questions about chat programs) but you can ask about conflicts and your specific problems. The forum is accessed from the toolbar ( blue circle with question mark )
You can access logitech from the webcam toolbar - its the last symbol (logo with 'logitech' under.) They have email and telephone help as well.

Finally, have you tried another browser? Download a spare browser and use it without add-ons or plug-ins, Make it your default and give it a trial.

Disappearing Logitech mic pick

I tried it again with the camera plugged in (duh) -- and the driver reappeared, the microphone works fine -- I successfully completed a Skype test call. I don't understand why it works that way, but now I know.

Logitech Quickcam Communicate Delux Auidio Problems with Skype

I had a similar problem, the solution was as simple as not playing your voice through the speakers. The problem sounds like one of feedback. There are companies that sell phones that hook up to your usb port and will not cause this type of problem. Another solution may be lowering the volume on your mic.

Logitech Quickcam Chat - No audio

Try testing it, last time I checked skype has a test section, its hard to find, but its there. You just talk into the mic and skype records it. Then play back.

It is possible the mic isn't working.

Before you consider taking it back, make sure you follow the instructions to the letter.
