I guess your have one of the v600 series? I'm not familiar with "V600" per se, but try going to the following url for your drivers:

Hi,
We can post a link to the driver but we are going to need the full model number of the laptop not just v600 as there are around 10 different v600 models that HP produce. You will find the full model number printed on a sticker underneath the laptop.

Please find the correct product from the Hp website http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Nav?h_pagetype=s-001&h_lang=en&h_cc=us&h_product=1842075&h_client=S-A-R163-1&h_page=hpcom&lang=en&cc=us and select your product and download and install your hp audio driver.

I assume you are talking about an hp compaq presario v6000 series.
