CAREFULLY remove your sound card and then try to boot up.

if it does not boot up then your computer has a problem and you need to consult your MFG.

if it does boot up then check the specks on the sound card and check if it is compatable.

if it is compatable, make shure that the contacts are clean (use a compressed air cleaner), and that the sound card is not damaged, then reconect (with the computer off).

I did a format to my comp and i lost the drivers for my Inspire T 5900 do you know were to download them?

First, speakers don't have drivers (although one of the names used for a speaker is a driver.) Sound cards have drivers.

Inspire T5900 MF4045 Speakers Do Not Require Drivers/Applications to Work (Non-USB Speakers)

Creative speakers do not need to be installed at all as they can be plugged in to a device and ready to be used straight away.

Desktop speakers are designed to function with most sound cards without the use of any drivers. As such, there are no drivers necessary for the speakers to function as they were designed. The sound card or audio device which the speakers are plugged into may require drivers and/or software to work. Ensure that your speaker is connected to your sound card's audio out and that your sound card is configured properly to output sound. Please contact the sound card manufacturer for driver availability.

I plugged my speakers in to the sound card and it

Hello!
You must try 2 options.
Try uninstall sound card drivers, reset comp., and again install sound driver.
In second case you must try new system, with full format hard drive, because you can have trouble with virus, and that is only safe way.
You can also try another sound card, but I think that is you sound card OK.

Static from desktop speakers

Sound card may be bad. Uninstall all software and drivers for the sound card. Remove the sound card and clean the gold contacts gently with a pink pencil eraser to remove oxidation and make them shiny. install sound card in a different slot if available. Install driver and try again. test with headphones too. If still just static, try newer sound card driver. If still no good get a new sound card.

I have a creative audigy Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Sound Card and Creative 7.1 surround sound speakers. When I was using XP all 7 speakers worked perfectly. Now with my newer Vista machine,...

Uninstall all sound drivers for the card. Delete all folder and use search to locate everything related to the sound card. Remove card , turn comp on w/o card. Turn off reinsert card.
Should fix it.
Vista has many, many issues like this.
If you have more types of sound listed in "SOUNDS" delete all but Audigy.
Re-install drivers AFTER you get ALL NEW VISTA UPDATES>

One speaker not working

Left/Right balance can be adjusted in the "Sounds and Audio devices" in Control Panel. If the adjustment is not the issue then the soundcard is at fault.

Labte pulse 285 speakers!

You won't find drivers for these Labtec speakers because they don't exist. They are plug-and-play speakers so they should work as soon as you plug them into your computer. But I have the same problem as you do (I had to format my comp as well and now I'm screwed because the speakers aren't recognized by the computer).
