You need to set your system to boot from CD. When you got DELL logo, press F12 for boot options, and select CD ROM.

You will setup it first in your bios, when you reboot your pc hit F2 and it will go to BIOS, after that choose BOOT SEQUENCE/BOOT PRIORITY, and the put in first boot your CD/DVD drive then second you HDD and 3r you FDD. and go to SAVE BEFORE EXIT. And thats it.

PS. This instruction is for WIN2000/WINXP/WINVISTA not for WIN98 For any question just PM me

My computer wouldn't take the product key and so my friend said he had a dish and after putting it in it now says that has no opperrating system and keeps telling me that it is trying to load a 64 bit and...

This is because you have tried to load an operating system which the motherboard was not programmed to work with. The motherboard must have been programmed to run a 32-bit operating system but your friend may have ended up formatting your laptop half-way with a 64-bit disc.
The only resort that is most likely to help you is for you to obtain a 32-bit disc of the same operating system and try to re-format or install it on your system.
If you need instructions on how to do this, comment here and i would give you a step-by-step instruction on what to do.
Hope this was helpful?

I want to reformat my acer aspire 5570 notebook and at the same time to up-grade it into 2 GB RAM memory.I"ve already got the prescribed RAM chipset

Hi, you have not said what operating system you are using, so its difficult to help with reformating. But have you tried system repair, by putting your operating CD into drive?. Repacing your ram could not be easier, just unscrew the panel underneath and replace with new chip.

Unfortunately it sounds as if the hard drive is clicking and not detecting because it has failed. At this point you will need to locate the operating system media for your system and purchase a new hard drive and start from scratch.

I need to restart my laptop to factory settings

if you want it to be factory settings, you would need the exact same Operatin Sytem installation disk which they probably didnt give you. The reason i say the same is because your serial numbers wont match as your original OS. Anyways if you only doing it to sell the laptop or two have a fresh Operating system, i would recomend you !1) Get a copy os Windows XP
2) Backup all your important files
3) Format your laptop and reinstall XP
4) Restore your files
5) Download (If you dont have it already) your drivers for your laptop. This can be found on Toshibas website.
6) Install all drivers and thats it. You have a Factory Set Laptop

i think you need to take your laptop to computer shop for repairing. your system's operating system might be crash so you need to do either recovery or do a fresh installation of opearting system by putting the os cd in your cd/dvd drive.

Toshiba Laptop Cooling Fan

First thing i would do is update your BIOS in your laptop.

According to the information you supplied, the latest bios is located Here if you are on a 32 bit operating system, or Here if you are on a 64 bit operating system

BIOS updates are particularly good for laptops as they regularly make changes to power consumption, fan speeds etc
