Actually you're not going to change it, but all you need to do is put a password on wireless router firmware "Restricted Access Area".

Open your Wireless Router Firmware at Internet Explorer (search engine)
example: http://192.168.x.x then ENTER
Put your GATEWAY ADDRESS.

login: admin / password: admin

Then Follow the Instructions in the firmware program.

Hope this will help you a lot.

Please rate me if i am helpful.
Thank you.

Sonos wont work with Dynamode R-ADSL-C4-W-G1

You have your Sonos bridge hardwired into your Dynamode correct? Your bridge needs to be physically plugged into your router at all times, it creates the SonosNet network that your Sonos players operate on.

Cant access router setup

If you type in http://10.0.0.2 to the adress line on your web browser, you should see a login window for the router. I think it is the wrong address. I think you should first RESET the router. Look for a little hole about the size of a pencil point. Stick a paperclip in and hold it in for about 1 minute. This should reset the router to factory settings.
If you have the manual, it should tell you how to access its setup pages. This is a modem and router in one. You must have an ADSL phone connection to an ISP. You must have the ISP's information to connect to their network. This information is needed to set the modem part of the router to log onto the internet through the ISP. Best of luck.

My laptop finds wireless router but will not connect to internet

Hi there. You may need to connect to the wireless network manually. What is the operating system running on your computer? If XP, you may follow these. (This is also applicable in other operating system, it may just vary a little) Right click the monitor icon showing on the system tray near the clock. Point the mouse in the icon and it will display the name if it is wireless network connection or network connection. Right click the icon and look for view available wireless network. If it is not showing, look for network connection. Right click and select "open network connection". Right click wireless network connection and select "view available wireless network" . Look for the wireless network you're trying to access or have connection.Highlight and click connect. If encrypted, you need to supply the pass key or security key twice and hit connect. It should allow you now to go online wirelessly. Please remember these, you should be able to go online wired. Make sure that there are other wireless computer connected to the wireless network you're connecting with and can go online wirelessly.

Hope this help :)

SSID Password

Hi...I am not sure if you need the SSID or the network key? The SSID is the network name, the one you see displayed in 'Available wireless networks'. The network key (also called passphrase, authentication key, PSK etc) is the one Windows asks for to connect to a secure network.

If you need the network key/passphrase:

1. Login to your router, by typing http://192.168.1.1 into a web browser (or whichever IP address is correct for your router).

2. You should see a popup box, requesting your username and password. If you have not changed these, they are username: admin and password: admin - otherwise please enter the username and password you have set.

3.If successful, you should now see your router user interface.
Go to Advanced > Wireless Security. If you are using WPA encryption, the network key (password) you need should be displayed under PSK string.
(Details taken from Dynamode UK website).

Hope this helps you, but please come back to Fixya if you need further help.
