Only label is an after market sticker from General international......went to electric motor specialist store and they could not help with matching to a new motor. No markings on the motor at all

Usually not. Is lathe leveled, and base secured, check for soft feet. This can set up vibration and load bearings.If motor is belt drive check belt condition, pulley alignment, belt tension.
