Make sure you have card inside, your lens if fixed correctly and your lens aperture by the end max 32 or 22

Err is usually a camera malfunctrion. Re,ove the batery,a aaaaaatuen camera switch off/on 2-3 times *as if battery still in), replace battery and try again. Read Owners manual or got to Nikonusa.com to download a manual (or to ask Nikon) and determine if your D100 has a hardware reset switch(my dc70 does) and utilize that. If tht does not solve the issue, then service by an authorized Nikon tech is advised.

The pictures I take with my Nikon D100 come out really dark. It's dark when looking through the viewfinder as well. What do you think is causing this to happen?

First thing to check is the shutter control or maybe what speed your shutter is on. Check your settings and you'll probably find something is switched to the wrong setting. Try switching everything to Auto, including anything menu operated your manual should explain how to get to your on-screen menu. Try that and if no good, post back and we can take it from there.
With cameras getting more compact and buttons getting closer together and smaller it's very easy to knock a switch the wrong way without realising it.

Nikon d100 tok several pictures and they are not on card

It sounds like it may have reformatted itself and if thats the case, they are gone. Some camera's have the option built in, then again, your computer might have done it when plugged into the card reader. I hope this can help shed some light on what may have happened, but sorry to say, if the memory card is now empty, chances are slim on recovering the pics.

Nikon d1oo take pics no images

I have this problem on occasion, if I understand your problem correctly.  Sometimes, it appears that the images I know are on the card simply are not there when I try to download them.  To save "lost" images, I use CardRaider, but there are many others you might try.

D100 Driver Update

What is this? This is an updater to the D100 driver module. This is needed for users who have Nikon Scan 3.1.2 and Nikon Capture 3.0 installed regardless of whether or not a Nikon D100 is used. This updater will fix an error relating to a "D100.md3" file. This update is not needed for Macintosh users. What’s new? The following issue has been addressed: This update fixes an issue that causes Nikon Scan to unexpectedly quit during software startup. All users of Nikon Scan and Nikon Capture should install this update. Compatible OS: Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition Microsoft Windows Me Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional Microsoft Windows XP Professional Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition *All pre-installed models only What’s included in the download? “D100_driver.zip” Special notes: Installation: When the file, “D100_driver.zip” is downloaded, it should be automatically decoded to create the installer “D100UPDATER_E.EXE”. Run this application to install the upgrade. http://www.nikonusa.com/software/D100_driver.zip
