Question about InFocus SP-LAMP-LP3F Projector Lamp for LP340, LP340B, LP35

Projector will not fully startup

A week ago, I replaced the lamp in my Infocus LP340B and am having a problem. It started up find at first. However, this morning, the lamp would not light up. The LED starts out green, then I hear a very fast clicking noise, and then the led turns amber. The lamp never lights up.

I've pulled the lamp, but don't see any obvious issues. (dark spots, cracks, etc..)

According to my research the timer may need to be reset. I've tried this (press and hold "Volume -" and then press and hold "menu" and then hold both for 10 seconds) but I don't see any difference. I've tried this imediatly after turngin on (before the LED turns amber) and also after 1 minute (Infocus recomendation) No difference.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

The colorwheel is bad. and what's worse, you can't get parts for the lp340 anymore.

Have Infocus X2 projector. When on a dark shadow line appears down the left side of screen. Could it be a bad lamp?

no it is not lamp problem. it must be light tunnel problem.
after lamp there is tunnel for light travel, made from 4 pieces of mirror.
this tunnel is glued. glue tend to break in time so the tunnel is no longer doing its purpose.
open this part of projector, there should be 2 little screws holding it. repair it by reposition mirrors and glue them from outside by little drop of temperature resistant and elastic glue. that's it !

I only get a blue scree on my Infocus 340 so therefor I cannot see the images well.

give more details , when you get blue picture ?
blue screen is indication that no signal is coming to projector so check your cable and try different connection, there is svhs and dvi input, try both.

I have the same issue minus the clicking

check the lamp for bulges, black spots, or fogging. if that's ok, check the colorwheel. if that doesn't spin, the lamp won't light. if they are ok, replace the ballast.

SP-LAMP-LP3E powers off in 5-20 secs after inital power on

if the new lamp doesn't have a problem, then it's not the ballast, it's just a bad bulb. especially if you didn't get it from infocus. the cheaper lamps don't last long. you get what you pay for.
