Hi if you contact your service provider and tell them your internet isnt working they should send you the setting via a text message this should update your phone and let you send mms messages i had this problem myself when i changed service provider.
Dont tell them you just brought a phone just tell them your internet dont work they can send text messeage and if this dont work they can talk you through the setting manually.
The phone must have been on a different network and will still have these settings stored in the phone.
Also if you go onto your service providers website they sometimes have a section where you can select to have the settings sent to your phone give this a try first.
They will send text message if you ring them this will update the phone automaticall.
Let me know how you get on ok if you are still stuck let me know

- Hi the bloke i spoke to said if the settings they sent you still dont update the phone then you will need to get the software and flash lead and restore the phone to factory setting and also check that the software on the phone isnt corrupt.
The cheapest way to do this is to take it to repair shop and ask them to restore the phone and reinstall the software as it sounds like the phone has a corrupt file on the software unabling you to use the application you want.
Buying the software and getting the flash lead can be difficult as you will need to get passwords to reinstall the software on your phone.
these passwords are hard to come buy expesially for this make of phone.
The best thing to do is take to repair shop and tell them you need the phone reseting and reinstall the software tell them your problem and they will advise you the best way to do this.
They might have the software but some shops want you to send them to the makers but this will be more expensive.
He told me their is nothing you can do yourself he said it sounds like somebody has used a flash lead allready and tried changing the software on the phone.
Their is no settings you can change and it probably has settings locked in the phone from another network this was a safety measure to stop people unlocking the phone and using different network the only way round this is to take to repair shop.
You might be lucky and they might be able to do it their and then for you as sending it to their own repair factory can be expensive.
