I tried to reset my garmin using the hold the bottom right hand corner of the screen and the power button for 30 seconds.. a minute later still on and locked up.. I tried waiting for the battery to die and eventually shut itself down. 4 hours later still going. I'm a truck driver near a place I never been before.. when garmin is working. it puts me on the right track everytime. so personally I'm a little desperate. anyone with a solution that actually works?

My Garmin c330 is locked up with a loader loading message when attempting to download updates. Will not shut off when power button is depressed.

WARNING: A reset will completely wipe the user information off the unit.

To reset the unit you will need to press the bottom right hand corner of your screen and hold in (relatively firmly) and then press and hold POWER, make sure you release the power button when the unit turns on and a message will appear asking if you wish to clear all user data - select YES to this.

This will completely wipe all data on your unit including almanac data (satellite information). Your unit would then need at least 45 minutes with clear view of the sky to update the almanac and re-acquire a GPS fix which will show your current position.

This will completely wipe all data on your unit including almanac data (satellite information).

Your unit would then need at least 20 minutes with clear view of the sky to update the almanac and reacquire.

To reset the unit you need to press the bottom right hand corner of your screen and hold in (relatively firmly) and then press and hold 'power'. You need to hold both for 30 seconds.

Pull the faceplate off. There is an indentation under the word GARMIN on the face which you can use to remove the faceplate. After the faceplate has been removed you will see the reset button on the right side of the unit. Press to reset the unit.

My streetpilot c330 won"t shut off.

IT'S CALLED A FROZEN SCREEN...

2 OPTIONS

ONE, RESET IT !!! (See resetting instructions below)

TWO, let the battery die out!

Waking up your c330...

If you left your Garmin c330 on running the battery will have 1% life left. If you turn c330 back on again, it will flash screen for 3 seconds then die, even charging it at this point will not wake it back up. TO BRING IT BACK TO LIFE... plug in the power home or car into Garmin c330. There is a tab in the front Garmin gray frame of your screen. You must take like your fingernails and under the logo "GARMIN" pull the whole gray plastic frame off. Underneath the plastic frame to the right hand side. There is a "RESET" button. Make sure power is plugged in while hitting reset. Your battery should come back to life. Cheers

My street pilot c330 wont power up

I am continually amazed by how many people list there problems with only the barest of explanation. How on earth do you expect a reasonably informative answer when your total description of the problem is "my street pilot c330 wont power up"? OK, so tell us more! Did it work just fine until one day it stopped? Did you let it sit for 6 months and when you plugged it in again... nothing? Did you check the fuse in the power cord? Oh, you didn't know there was a fuse there? Read the book! If you want help from me, kindly describe in a bit more detail just exactly what the problem is, a bit of history of what, if anything, led up to the problem, etc.!!!

My Street Pilot C330 will not navigate pass the where to/view map screen Screen seems to be frozen

I have a c340 and instructions say: if your unit locks up. press the power button to turn off the unit, then press again to turn unit back on. If this does not help, reset by the following: place your thumb nail in the groove located under the Garmin logo on the face plate, gently pull off the face plate, press the reset button, turn the unit back on and it should operate normally
