My wife's address book was created on a handspring visor many years ago. She has been updating it w/ palm desktop on her computer since the Visor died a while back. Now her computer motherboard has died, but her harddrive is operable on a Rockfish hard drive enclosure on her new computer (w/ Vista Home Premium. The address book is in a dat file that is not in readable form. We've tried excel, word and editpro to no avail Any solutions before we re enter the entire address book in another program?

- I have attached the Rockfish w/ the old computer's hard drive into the new computer. the palm software and the address book show up on drive E. I can pull up the address book folder on the new computer but can not get it in usable form. Did this adequately respond to your question?

- Joed911, I have retried all that you suggested, but the format of the address book remains unreadable. Any other suggestions?
You need to install the Palm Desktop and Hotsync manager onto drive c: This link has the software for the Visor.
If Vista is 64-bit, you will need to use the software for 64-bit also found on this site. http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/common/article/33189_en.html

my blackberry curve 8310 will not come on. It just blinks a red light like when I have a missed call or a message. I am charging the battery but it does not make any difference. when the screen lights up all you can see is an hour glass.
