Kenmore 80 series washer

My agitator on my washer all of a sudden quite working. Everything else works and it sounds like it is working but it doesn't move. It is also full of water as I was doing a load when it stopped working, how do I get the water out?

Thank you!

That worked! Now I need to figure out why it is not agitating. It does everything else just fine and it sounds like it is agitating but it is not.

You should still be able to drain the water by selecting a spin cycle and closing the lid, unless the lid switch isnt working

Most likely the motor coupling is broken. The machine wont agitate or spin but it will pump the water out. Replacing a coupling is fairly simple but can be daunting the first time. If you decide to try it yourself ill be glad to help as much as i can.

Kenmore 80 series washer won't spin or agitate

check to make sure the belt hasn't come off. if it's direct drive make sure the shaft is working and moving freely. if all of these check out the motor that turns everything my be stuck, frozen up or just bad all together.

Kenmore 80 Series draining problem

Check the following before replacing the timer.

1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).

2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.

Kenmore washer 80 series 110 model not spinning.

unless your washer is over 20 years old, then it wont have a belt. the temperature of the water wont have anything to do with it spinning or not.
need to know if it agitates or drains and just wont spin.
if it agitates but no spin or drain, then you have a bad lid switch.
if it wont agitate or spin, but will drain, then you have a broken drive coupling.
