Go to a doctor!!!!!!!!!!! you have chest pain for a reason, it is your bodies way of telling you, you need professional help. If it turns out to be acid reflux, try elevating the head of your bed frame about 4 inches this will allow the contents of your stomach to lie lower while you sleep. you should also not eat 3-4 hours before you go to bed/
Do not like your chances of success in your endeavours. Was it switched on when you spilled the liquid in to the keyboard as damage of the short circuiting type is a real possibility.
Usually you need a service manual as every laptop if different in its way of disassembly. Suggest taking somewhere to be repaired but chances of no serious damage are low.
9 years ago I had a daughter poor water over a laptop that had been purchased one week earlier. The guy at the shop advised me it would just need to dry out and after it was dried out the keyboard did not work properly and then the laptop stopped working altogether.
Remove the battery from the laptop
leave in a dry room on its side and leave overnight.
let the water drain out and dry out then try switching it on.
if you get lot of beeping then the keyboard has failed (which can be replaced.)
If you get no lights or sound coming from your laptop hen it probably has died
To save you time and money, it is recommended that you have a proffesional clean your computer, because using water may damage your computer and the company warranty will NOT cover damages done by DIY.
If you go ahead, and decide to clean it yourself, YouTube has many videos that can help you.
These instructions will help you to remove and replace keyboards onvarious laptops. I will not be able to cover all models but you’ll getthe idea. Steps for removing and replacing the keyboard are similar formost laptops. Warning! - if your laptop is still covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, do not open the case or you can loose the warranty - always remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter before you open the laptop case - if you damage the keyboard connector on the motherboard you’ll have to replace the whole motherboard - proceed on your own risk
Be careful, on some models the bezel might be connected to themotherboard as it shown on the picture above. If you accidentallypulled the cable, connect it back. It is not necessary to disconnectthe keyboard bezel from the motherboard in order to remove and replacethe keyboard, just put it aside so you can access the keyboard screws.
If you replaced the keyboard with a Dell replacement 1501 keyboard and it still doesn’t work then yes the motherboard will probably have to be replaced. If your son spilled water on the laptop it could clear up after it completely dries. If it was juice, soft drink or sport drink the laptop could develop other issues. The syrup in these kinds of drinks don’t evaporate, they just remain there and accumulate foreign particles like dust, hair, dirt and eventually start to corrode electrical contacts like acid. this solution divides in to 2 :
1. if u have a little skill in ur hands....
2. if u dont and u r "left hands"
3. when i think about it...if you still got warranty-go to the store
1. FIRST: wash your hands and touch your fridge or the metal cover of your sound system (for grounding yourself)
-disconnect the laptop from everything
-open it from beneath - CAREFULLY AND SLOWLY!!
-find the screws that are holding the whole boards together
-draw a script of where were the screws
-separate each level from another
-wipe all remaining drops or moisture from everything
-leave it to dry
-spry conductivity spry on the top level (beneath the keyboard)
2. for the Amateures
FIRST: wash your hands and touch your fridge or the metal cover of your sound system (for grounding yourself)
-disconnect the laptop from everything
-put the laptop (in open position) on a radiator or anything that can produce low heat for day , make sure the heat is not too hot
*****NOT MORE THEN 50 Celsius !!!!! *****
-pray to god that it would work
