Question about Compaq Armada M700 Notebook
Started giving blue screen stating that there were hardware problems. Formatted HD and when trying to reinstall W2K it gives the following message " non-system disc or disc error, replace and strike any key when ready". I went into BIOS (using F10) and tried various combinations of boot sequence. Non of these worked. Could you possibly suggest anything else?
This is Romeet,i shall try and help you with this problem. Before formatting for a new installation of w2k, did you delete your partitions and create a new partition or did you just overwrite the old installation partition?Besides i hope you did a backup of your data before any of above processes in the event you might need it later on? Please let me know about the partitioning and i shall try and help further accordingly as most likely it looks like a Disk Partitioning Misconfiguration / Problem
