Hi, sorry my reply has been a while the net has been down in my area and i couldnt get any signal so i appologise.
Ive been looking at your product and it isnt a freeview recorder its a dvd recorder so it wont pick up the free view channels itself. What you need to do is this: If you have a free view set top box then instead of plugging this freeview set top box into your telly via the scart lead you need to plug this into your dvd recorder then if you wanted to record anything of free view you need to select either av or source on the dvd recorder, this will then pick up the signal from the free view box allowing you to record from it.
Your dvd recorder is not made to pick up free view channels so will only pick up the terestial channels ie 1-5 so you need to plug your free view box into the dvd recorder via either scart lead or another source. Then on your dvd recorder remote you need to select av or source depnding on your remote it wont be a channel ie 0-9 it will be coming from an external source so its either av or source button once you have pressed this you should now see whats on the free view box. Next select on the free view box what you want to record and leave the free view box on this channel. Now you can use your dvd recorder to record from the free view box via the scart lead so as long as you select the right source ie av channel you will then see the free view channels
Your dvd recorder wont pick up any free view channels on it own so as long as your free view is connected to your dvd recorder you can then record from it but you change the channels on your free view not on your dvd as your dvd rec will only pick up 1-5 so picking av should let you pick up the free view channels.
Let me know how you get on ok or if you need further assistance ok
