Question about Jura Capresso C1000 Espresso & Coffee Maker
Out of the coffee spouts. Any ideas?
I had this same problem water going into the grounds disposal chamber, plus all green and red lights flashing. Was told if I could clear the lights to clean the screen and run a tablet cleaning. I was able to clear the lights tried to run the cleaning but it failed again. I have had my machine for over 4 years so instead of sending it back I decided to take it apart. The problem I found is an O-Ring that runs inside of the compression pump chamber failed, if I can find an O-ring that is the same size I believe it will be as good as new.

Rem-coffee, how did you get to the o-ring? I bought a bunch of replacement o-rings on ebay but never got as far as the chamber to replace it. I have two c1000 and they are both 8+ years old. If you had the ability to show how you got to the 0-ring that would be wonderful for a lot of people including me. TIA.

I had this problem, capresso told me to clean the screen etc. but to no avail. They said I should return it to them to be repaired, for the flat fee, but I live in Europe now, so shipping would be too expensive. I opened up the machine and found that they holes through which the coffee flows where badly clogged with coffee gunk, causing the coffee to back up, the coffee flows into the grinds bin because it can not get out the holes. I had nothing to lose opening up the machine, but it was not difficult. You could try cleaning the holes from the outside by pushing a toothpick through, you can't do any damage this way and maybe it will fix the problem.

I have the same problem and tried wiping the filter screen with a paper towel. Now it pours through the drip nozzles, but some still goes into the bin. I get maybe 3/4 the usual amount. I think it comes down to a clogged filter and am looking for a way to better clean it. I've heard toothpaste and a soft toothbrush work but haven't tried it and not sure I could get to the filter with a toothbrush anyway.

Hi, Thanks so much for the update. For me they had me try to clean the tamping disk. That didnt work. They offered to fix it for free, or offered a one time replacement of a new E8 or refurbished E9. I am going to go for th E8, I hope it is as good as my C1000.. :-(
