Nothing is coming out of the coffee spouts. It is going directly into the used gounds container, water and all. Was working fine.

I have sent an email directly to Capresso Support. If I get a resolution I will post it. Very weird as it was working with no problems up until yesterday :-(

hi, i have the same problem, one day the machine was working fine and the next, no coffee or rinse cycle water was coming out the spout. when i removed the grounds bin i found it was full of brewed coffee.

Same problem here.  The machine had been working fine.  Today no coffee will come out of the spouts, it all ends up in the used grounds bin.  Tried cleaning the tamping screen, tried adjusting the grinder to a coarser grind, but nothing's working.  Was hoping to avoid sending it back and paying $225 to get it fixed, but I don't think there's any other choice.

mine just did this same thing starting this morning at 4 am...bad timing!

Did anyone discover a cause and more importantly a fix?

I too have brewed coffee going into the used grounds container with nothing coming out of the drip holes. I have tried cleaning the screen to no avail.

I have the same problem. The machine sat idle for approximately 6 months, but worked fine the last time it was used. If anyone figures this out, PLEASE post the fix on this site. Thanks

I had this same problem water going into the grounds disposal chamber, plus all green and red lights flashing. Was told if I could clear the lights to clean the screen and run a tablet cleaning. I was able to clear the lights tried to run the cleaning but it failed again. I have had my machine for over 4 years so instead of sending it back I decided to take it apart. The problem I found is an O-Ring that runs inside of the compression pump chamber failed, if I can find an O-ring that is the same size I believe it will be as good as new.

Rem-coffee, how did you get to the o-ring? I bought a bunch of replacement o-rings on ebay but never got as far as the chamber to replace it. I have two c1000 and they are both 8+ years old. If you had the ability to show how you got to the 0-ring that would be wonderful for a lot of people including me. TIA.

I had this problem, capresso told me to clean the screen etc. but to no avail. They said I should return it to them to be repaired, for the flat fee, but I live in Europe now, so shipping would be too expensive. I opened up the machine and found that they holes through which the coffee flows where badly clogged with coffee gunk, causing the coffee to back up, the coffee flows into the grinds bin because it can not get out the holes. I had nothing to lose opening up the machine, but it was not difficult. You could try cleaning the holes from the outside by pushing a toothpick through, you can't do any damage this way and maybe it will fix the problem.

I have the same problem and tried wiping the filter screen with a paper towel. Now it pours through the drip nozzles, but some still goes into the bin. I get maybe 3/4 the usual amount. I think it comes down to a clogged filter and am looking for a way to better clean it. I've heard toothpaste and a soft toothbrush work but haven't tried it and not sure I could get to the filter with a toothbrush anyway.

I am having the same problem. I tried every resetting and cleaning in the manual. No luck. Coffee grounds, water everything is going directly to the used grounds bin. Any luck?

I called Capresso, they said it was the internal brewing chamber that went. They were willing to fix mine for free as I never bothered with the wiring recall. Since I bought it from William-Sonoma (lifetime guarantee) they replaced it with the E9, I just had to pay the $100 difference. Machine is a little nicer, but the frother does not work anywhere near as well! In retrospect I may have chosen to fix the C1000. Good luck.

Hi, Thanks so much for the update. For me they had me try to clean the tamping disk. That didnt work. They offered to fix it for free, or offered a one time replacement of a new E8 or refurbished E9. I am going to go for th E8, I hope it is as good as my C1000.. :-(

I need to clean my capresso c1000. i can't find the instructions. i put a cleaning tablet into the ground coffee area, and ran the ground coffee button a few times. is that it?

No, first push the self clean button (hold until lights come on). Then pull the grounds unit and empty it, that will turn off one red light. Fill the water tank. Then drop the tablet. Then hit the ground coffee button. Cycle through and dump the grounds each time the grounds light illuminates.

No coffee will dispenses

I would remove the coffee spout and check the lines into it. The coffee seems to stop when it hits the spout and goes through the by pass instead. Remove the spout(be careful) then run a coffee and see if it works.

Did it work before this?
Sometimes hard water can build up and cause blockages.
Try mixing hot water and white vinegar (50/50 mix) and try running it through the machine. If this works, run it through a few more times than run cold water through a couple times to get rid of the vinegar.
Good Luck.
