    electric failure and F1 flashing

  • gozh Aug 15, 2008

With my single magic chef range, the alarm keeps sounding at randon and F1 pops up on the digital - it will go off for a minute when I press stop then it comes back on in a little while again - I've pushed stop, and every button and stop, but it still keeps sounding, even in the middle of something.

The alarm goes off constantly stating F1, I disconnected it at the box to keep my sanity. I think it is the clock that needs replacement. It's an old oven, the part # 100-281D, I got it off the back when I disconnected the clock in order to use the burners. I'm looking for the old part and can't find it, I'm sure it's out there.

Oven keeps beaping and has a alarm symbol showing

Sounds like the timer was set and time is up, the issue is whichever model oven it is has a specific way to stop the alarm. Some just require a simple pressing "cancel" while others use a combination of buttons. I would try pressing either the arrow up or down, if not present just press the "timer" button, see if the alarm symbol changes or disappears

F1 error relay circuit failure

Hi This is the Alarm system watchdog circuit :

The system has detected a failure in the internal watchdog element , relay circuits and will atcivate a cancel feature. F1 will be displayed in the time digets and will beep until the cancel button or another funtion is selected. An F1 failure could be detected in cook or time of day mode. With an F1 failure the ERC is picking up a comand to supply heat without receiving an input from the membrain. The watchdog circuit is designed to prevent this.
If the beep continues after pressing cancel check the main control ERC board.

We had a power outage and when the electricity was restored the oven is displaying an F1 and F7 code and is beeping the alarm, how do i stop this?

Hello, the F1 error code means internal logic failure (monitoring function) it sounds alarm and inhibit cook mode You can fix it by replacing the electronic range control (ERC)

F7 error code means the function key shorted for over 16 seconds, check for something pressing a key or preventing normal release of the key. You can fix it by replacing the electronic range control (ERC) if other component check normal.

Thanks

Dacor oven beeps and shows F1 code

-F1- Alarm “System Watchdog Circuit”
The system will detect a failure in the internal watchdog element relay circuits and will activate a
cancel feature. F1 will be displayed in the time digits and will beep until the cancel button or another
function is selected. An F1 failure could be detected in cook or time of day mode. With an F1 failure
the ERC is picking up a command to supply heat without receiving an input from the membrane. The
watch dog circuit is designed to prevent this.
If the beep continues after pressing cancel check the main control (ERC)
