Charging With my enV I have bought three differnt chargers. My first charger the metal peice with the arrow on it [metal] fell off. Second charger the same thing happend as the first time, I would take my biology book to hold the charger against the wall and it would charge on and off. Last night I was charging my phone. I took out the charger the phone was not charged at all so about 10 minutes later I put it back in the phone took the charger back out and the whole charger came un-done. I have had no luck with the enV the phone might be cool but it is not a well designed phone. It needed further thinking on the charger.

Same thing happened to me, only this is my second charger. It won't charge unless i hold it in the charger port and press down, which obviously is inconvenient to do for a long period of time.

I am on my second charger. Verizon replaced my first one free. Apparently there is a 1 year something (not sure if it is warranty or guarantee) on the charger. I assume that the new charger doesn't get a new one year warranty but takes the place of the old charger from the original warranty start date.

This seems to have fix my issue. My first charger had some tiny prongs bent on the inside and caused the no charge situation.

Sorry I must've misunderstood the question above. My answer was related to the AC adapter wall charger, not the receptacle in the phone.

    Apologies!

It isn't the actual charger the plugs into the phone but, the phone itself. Mine has repeatedly fallen out. don't waste your hard earned moola on a new charger. It is the little charger port inside of the phone.

Me and my dad have shared one lg charger for about a year and i havent had any problems, i think the only design problem with them is that the end of the charger, along with the cover for the charger in slot, are very very fragile. If you get a new charger just be really careful with it.

LG enV2 Battery not chairging

It might be your charger or your charger port.

First check the charger by using another charger to test if it will charge.

If not charging that means your charging port is faulty needs to be changed.

At first we thought that could be the charger, because we had to twist the cable, but now I bought a new charger and it is dead, doesn't work at all... what it could be????

hi,the problem is not the charger, now it is proved. there are only two things which can have problem, first the pin(connector) in which u insert the charger and second problem can be of the battery terminal, which takes the charging. first of all check the pin,and if it is ok then remove the battery and check the termials(they are usually of yellowish color metal) is any of them is broken or has some carbon deposited on them.
there is one more probability tht is of the fuse of the laptop .
there is nothing else other than these three problems.
just check them one by once and you will get the solution.

My phone port is broken on my LG, how do i charge my battery?

charging your battery is simple if you are ready to use cheap non LG chargers made in china. go to an electronics shop nearby with your battery alone and ask for an external charger (name is universal) which is a box type charger with three pins which will connected to your battery for charging. the head ache in this charger is you have to take out the battery from your phone every time for charging. but i am not sure about the availability since i dont know your location...but if you want to get it repaired under standard conditions, go to an LG care shop and they will take care of your problem...

Wont charge

your charging port is loosely connected to *********** board. You need to go to a repair shop and get it fixed.

Ive put my phone on the charge, but it isnt charging, whats the problem? my env cell phone isnt charging when i put it in the charger

Your port could be messed up or it could be the charger. Take it in to verizon and they will look at it for free.

My daughter's LG EnV charging port

You can get a charger at factorydirectcellular.com. The link is
http://www.factorydirectcellular.com/home/universal/universal-battery-only-charger.htm

The charger charges the battery independent of the phone. It is the only one I have found and it works GREAT. I had a couple issues at first but the rep, Matt, bent over backwards to resolve them. I would recommend this charger and company to anybody. The charger is a universal charger and will charge other cell phone batteries as well. The only con is that it does take a little longer to charge than using the port.

Won't Charge- Is there anything I can do?

well i dont have any long term ansa but here is a short term one while you find a new charger.

Take the charger and dismantle the end that plugs into fone. you should have 2 wires a black & white or black & red. Leave the blobs of solder on the end of the wires as this helps. Leave the wall socket end of charger in tact.

Take your battery out of fone. As with a normal battery you will see a (+) and (-) sign on it. Attach the black or darkest wire to the negative (-) metal square on the battery and the white or lightest wire (maybe red) to the positive (+) metal square on the battery (after trial & error i found a clothes peg to be the best form of attaching it). Leave attached for 15 minutes and this will give you around an hours usage when you put the battery back in the fone. If you leave it overnight then it will be on all day.

Basically you are making the circuit without the fone which bypasses your pin problem. Any charger will work with any fone as the charging components are in the wall end. Just make sure the voltage is compatible ie, 5v fone charger replacing 5v charger etc. Although majority of chargers are 5v.

I know this works cos i did it to mine last nite as i needed to ansa my emails. Really simple but a little drastic like i said but if the pin connector is broke anyway wot you got to lose?? I am a girl so if i can do it anyone can lol!!

Only drawback is you cant use the fone while it is charging unless you have 2 batteries and you use one while the other charges which is what i am doing. In fact i might not buy a new charger lol, i dont need one now ive found this method works.

Happy charging!! Hope this helps! Gail-michelle

Broken charger port

i have the same problem with my enV my friend stripped the wires to my charger at the part where you plug it into the phone so now to charge my phone i tape the red wire to the positive on the battery and the black wire to the negitive there will be a shiny metal goldish color thing (there like 4 lil gold bars) on your battery that looks like this --> (negative) | | | | (positive) | - | | | + | tape the wires on the outside were the symbols are - and + and try not to let it toch the middle bars on the battery or it wont work and dont cover the little bars up with tape put the battery back in the phone making sure the wires dont move to much and it should charge sometimes you got tape the battery onto the phone to make sure it doesnt pop out but its what i do and it saves you money on having to go buy a whole new one or if you know someone with the same phone give them your battery to charge it :)

Env help plz

The reason the phone won't charge is because the internal power port pins are broken off of their solder joints to the main board inside the phone. Wiggling it helps at first because the pins can still touch their connection points but after a short time that will cease to help. Google "cell phone repair". It usually cost around $50 to get it fixed with a new power port installed. Turn-around is usually 2-3 days.

Orange LG EnV

if you look at the charger port you will see a metal sleeve around the inside. Itneeds to be bent a little in so it will make the soket tighter. then the socket needs to be cleand out with a small brush. I use a old dry tooth brush
