Re: Samsung HPS 5073
If you have a complete shut down, How do you turn the set back on? Do you have to wait? Do you have to unplug the Set? In most case you may have a bad Power supply board. Part Number BN96-01805A. Average Cost $60

I am amzaed you have had it for 3 years, this usually occurs about 18 months from purchase. Samsung, however are good to deal with than most. Stop turning it on in the hope it will self reapair. It is more likely to self combust! The capacitors on the sustain boards have died, expanded and possibly split. This is generally as a result oif poor components ( made in korea or china) being used to keep the price down. However the life expectancy is compromised.
This is not a DIY repair ( many have tried this option only to find it does not work out . Mainly becausde all 3 boards are recommended for chaning and they need to be set up correctly with the right feeder voltage to each of them.
an estimated repair cost for your set is in the $500 dollar range
If your screen is taking that long to turn it is a hardware issue with the screen and I would suggest contacting the manufacturer and try having them repair it at 18 months it still may be under warranty.
Let a half caraffe worth of distilled white vinegar sit in the water reservoir for about an hour. After the hour, turn the coffeemaker on and let it brew the vinegar until a small amount of vinegar appears in the caraffe. turn the coffeemaker off and let it sit for an additional 20 minutes. Then turn the coffeemaker back on and let it brew the rest of the vinegar. Then run a full caraffe of plain water to flush the vinegar out. If the self-clean light remians on - unplug the coffeemaker for 20 minutes or longer - if you unplug it for any less than 15 minutes, the coffeemaker will not reset itself. You should be good after that - as long as you do some sort of vinegar/water cleaning once a month henceforth.
Unplug TV, take off the back. One each board there will be capacitors. the tops are flat unless one has blown then it is bubbled up. If you find one that is bad, copy the number and search the internet for a replacement. Unsolder and remove the old one ( there is a line drawn on the negative leg, mark the neg side on the motherboard so you can replace the new one the same way). Now solder the new one back onto the board. This worked for my TV, hope it helps
