The two closest to the neck should be volume controls. The other two are 2-band EQ controls.

I have a PEAVEY XR-AT, and today, when I powered it up, all my function lights came on also, and won't switch off. The 'Mic Mute' lit up, EFX DEFEAT lit up. What is wrong with it?

It is possible that you have issues with caps in the power supply...I would check those first...and you can get the schematics from Peavey....

2004 Dodge Ram light for H/Air Cond.&Temp.Control Knobs

Very common situation, the main boards are all put together by robots and the small components are available to the manufacturers but not for general resale. Try an electronics store, im sure they would have what you are looking for. It may pay to take the board in. Some boards have the size / spec of the onboard parts written on the board.

Every time i pull up the MCK to tune it the knob just lifts off the guitar entirely with out ever clicking on the LEDs.

If the knob itself comes off the shaft, you need to secure it to the shaft... maybe a setscrew needs to be tightened. Not sure what type knob you have... some of them have a screw under a cover on the top of the knob that pulls up a chuck to hold onto the shaft.

First thing is to check the power supplies. You really need to get a manual that inclides the schematics. I suspect that one of the voltages is not present. Also look for cables that may have partially fallen off.

On my squier strat the volume doesnt come out through theamp at all[i know it's not the amp or cable cuz i've hooked others things up to it to make sure]. Everytime i push and hold the volume knob at 10...

It is not clear if the volume knob you are talking about is in the amp or the guitar... SINCE you said you verified the amp is OK I have to assume the volume control you are talking about is in the guitar and my answer is based on that...

I SUSPECT that the resistance element and/or the wiper in the volume pot is damaged. One other possibility is the soldering of a wire to the volume pot may be bad. If you are competent with a soldering iron you could replace the pot yourself or take it to a competent guitar shop for repair. I would myself suggest you open the electronics and look for anything obviously wrong. I have ALSO seen one other problem where one lead of a pot is touching the CONDUCTIVE paint in the cavity where the controls are. If the shaft nut becomes loose and the pot slightly rotates this can happen, grounding out the signal.

How can I hook up my ipod to the Mackie 1604-VLZ PRO? I'm not sure which control buttons, knobs or slides to use to to make it play. I plugged it into the "tape in (RCA)" jacks. I need help with the...

Easiest is to use a 1/8 inch stereo to 1/4 inch splitter cable (1/4 mono's) and plug into the tape input. Then use the tape level knob.

IF you want to use sliders, then plug the spliter 1/4 inch plugs into two channels and set the PAN controls for these to opposite ends and then you have to adjust two sliders to control the gain.

How to get the effects to work on the mixer

This is in general for Behringer mixers since you did NOT tell us a model number...

To use the effects you adjust the FX knob for EACH channel for the amount of the mic or input you want to send to effects from that channel. This is the "send" mix.

You dial in one of the effects based on the list near the effects selection window with the selector knob and the number will change and start flashing. You press down on the selection knob which will enter the new effects number and the number will be solid and not flashing.

Then there is a knob to select how much of the OUTPUT of the effects you want to go to the main and sometimes one for the amount to the monitors.

That is all there is to it. The effects can be gated by a foot switch input if you desire.

It is a good idea to include a model number as your thing is posted as if it is a PMP3000 mixer.

Dtxplorer volume knob problems

No one "glues" knobs on except inapt consumers. Make sure there is not a "set screw" in the side of it. If not, it just pulls off.
