Hi thanks for the ideas, much appreciated. We are just after the disc only though and although the link to the nintendo site was very helpful and would have been the perfect fix it, they will not sell to us as we are in australia andit is unfortunately for US and canadian residents only. Thanks for the ebay idea too but we are only after the disc as postage with the player as well is quite high. Does any one have any other ideas or places where we could order one from, that would be availiable to us here in Australia, thanks and cheers.

Well, The best bet would be getting a U.S. friend to get it sent to his house and then you could pay the postage to get it sent to you. On the other hand, you could check local game stores and ask them to keep an eye out for it. Most places wouldn't take the disc without the player but if they know someone is looking for it then they tend to take it. Just ask if the have a wish list. But major chains are not as likely to do something like that, but are more likely to take it without the player. But good luck. :)

The Game Disc could not be read.

If you have not used the game disc successfully before and it is not scratched it could just be a bad cd and you should attempt to return it for a new one if possible. If it has worked previously you should see if anyone you know has a gamecube you could try it on and see if it works for them. One thing you could try to do is very carefully, take an ear cleaner and gently rub it over the small circular glass reader to clean away any minute residue. Some game discs are just more finicky than others. And as always with older game systems there is the tried and true technique of just turning the system off and on until it works.

You need to connect your gamecube to your gameboy/GBA. If you can't, you're out of luck, I'm afraid.

Is it possible to play Wii games on the Gamecube simply by changing the disc reader and graphics card?

I don't think so. The Gamecube disk tray is specialized for Gamecube discs, which are pretty small compared to regular game discs. Also, the Nintendo Gamecube graphics are modeled by ATI. Maybe some hardcore modding to your Gamecube, and it could work, but I have no idea for sure. Im not sure anyone had ever accomplished this, so honestly, you're going to know what you're doing to accomplish this. I know I wouldn't.

Our Nintendo gamecube does not work on all the discs. It says to look in the instruction manual for assistance.

you may have bought an American copy of the game so then it won't work on a British gamecube search on sites like ebay for a freeloader insert into gamecube first then whencit says swap discs do so and the game should hopefully load

You need one of these, it connects to the bottom of your Gamecube and you put the GBA games into it and the Gamecube will load them.

Gamecube Recognizes what game the disc is, but cannot read it

Make sure its in the right way (image facing up) then close the lid and press power button it should load the game up automatically (dont hold a after switching on the gamecube. if it persists take out the disc wipe it again blow on the gamecube to remove and dust then try switching on the gamecube without the disc it should show the menu, press up and there should be a question mark, insert disc, there it should show the game, press 'A' to confirm, then press start if it persists it is recommended you get it checked out because it could be the case that the disc is badly written like my lego starwars 3 on one of the levels it goes wierd and it spoils it really (i think there is a problem with all starwars games personally). Anyway Hope i helped as much as i could.

Gamecube not reading the disc!!

The disc is probably toast. But would recommend you bring it to your local Play N Trade store and they may be able to get it back working for you.

i never bought the game cubes "game boy player" but as far as i know you plug your games into the player not your gameboy . if your talking about the gb to GC link cable. that does not play game boy games on your tv screen. its made to be used in tandem with a gamecube game that uses the gameboy link feature.
