How volt transformer for AOpen spekers?

If it is the transformer, it should be a DC output. Look where it connects, it will tell you what voltage you need. Use a volt meter to see if you are getting that from your "transformer". If so the amp in the speaker is probably blown, if not you need a new DC power supply with the correct voltage. If the replacement ma is higher that will not hurt, The information should also be on the "transformer".

I have dell a425 transformer is dead i need transformer howmany volt out

The total watts is 30W RMS... watts = volts x amps Using 240v ac gives: 30=240xamps Amps=30/240 = 0.125 amp or 125 ma. Short answer is disassemble to check the wiring on the transformer.... a wire may be disconnected. Check using a voltmeter the input to the transformer and the output (if any). You have to do a bit of simple fault finding I afraid.

How can my laptop charger fit to computer speaker?

Please do not modify your laptop charger to power your speakers. The laptop charger probably has too high a voltage and amperage output. (USB chargers don't provide a large enough output.) The Altec Lansing ACS40 speakers need a 15V 900 mA power transformer; the coaxial power connector has the positive voltage on the center pin. The model number on the transformer is 4815090R3CT . This is available through and other vendors. One vendor is .

I hope this helps.

Cannot find power adapter for mms171w philips system. Needs AC/AC adapter with 10v ac at 1.8 amps output. Cannot find aftermarket counterpart either. Help. Lost adapter while moving.

Hi there,
What does the other end of the adapter look like?
Is it a conventional circular one or is it a special port like it's thin square like or USB like maybe?
If it's conventional any 10v 1.8amp or 2 amp output should do and a lot of them are available in e-bay or if there's a Best Buy, Staples, Etc near you can just drop a visit purchase one and it should work like a charm.
However if it's not a conventional adapter you may have to contact philips and purchase one that is compatible from them.
Hope this shed some light on your problem!

Need the AC 15V 1.1a power supply

Hi Tracy,

Wow, this was a hard one. I called both Harman Kardon and Dell, seems HK made the speakers for Dell, but neither company carries parts any more. I called Radio Shack thinking they would have a generic power supply, not even close. I looked at several places on the internet and had no luck.
I do have a little good news, I was able to find a few on Ebay, so if you don't mind buying used, you can get a power supply there. They even have a Buy Now offer so you would not have to bid on it. The power supplies are listed as 1100mA which is the same as 1.1A.
Also, if you get the it and the plug in is not the right size, take the speaker to Radio Shack and they will be able to sell you the correct plug, all you will have to do is splice in the new plug. With it having an AC output, you don't even have to worry about the wires being crossed as you would with DC. Hope this helps you.

I need to know the type of audio cable to use with the Altec Lansing BX1021 2 speaker system.

This type of jack is used for the digital audio inputs and/or outputs on A/V components such as receivers, CD players, DVD players, and more. Coaxial digital jacks are also sometimes found on higher-end PC soundcards for digital audio input and output.
Coaxial digital inputs and outputs use standard RCA-type jacks (so coaxial digital cables are terminated with standard RCA connectors). But the cable itself is specially designed to handle the much wider frequency bandwidth of digital signals

Dell 5650 speaker wire adapter

As I understand it, this adapter is used ONLY to adapt a standard 2-channel stereo output to the 3, 1/8" plugs of the Dell 5650 5.1 system. These 3 plugs would normally plug into the front, rear, and center/sub outputs on a computer designed to output 5.1 channel sound.

To make this clear, what this means is that the output you get from your 2-channel stereo system, using this adapter with the Dell 5650 5.1 system, will NOT be full 5.1 surround will be 2-channel stereo signals intermixed so that it plays from the 5650 system through the Dell amplifiers and speakers...nothing more.

This cannot be over-emphasized. The adapter does NOT create true 5.1 sound from a 2-channel stereo output system.

If you are hoping to get true 5.1 output from a 2-channel stereo system, you will be disappointed.

All this adapter likely does is split/mix some of the 2-channel signal into the rear channel, and split/mix some of the SAME 2-channel signal into the center-sub channel, just so you will get some output from those speakers. There may be some low-pass filtering for the sub-woofer input.

It is almost certainly a very simple passive circuit consisting of resistors, capacitors, and possibly an audio transformer or two.

Look for circuit on Do-It-Yourself electronic sites and build it yourself...or you're almost certain to be ripped-off.
