Question about RCA F32649 32" TV

1 Answer

TV will not come on and if it does it just cycles through the channels...

The TV will not come on. With the remote control I can hear it click on but immediately it clicks off. The buttons on the front panel don't work at all. I took out the circuit board that has the micro switches on it and checked them out with an ohmmeter and all of them work. Sometimes I can get the TV to turn on but then the channels just keep cycling through one after the other. It will not stay on any one channel.

I put the TV in my garage (unplugged) for about a week then tried it again and it worked perfectly for about two weeks then the same problem again. I don't know what to do to fix this thing and I can not find any repair places in my metro area.

If tuner channels keep cycling, why not by-pass the problem?
Use audio / video inputs as source from box or VCR tuner....

How to change the channel my Sony Trinitron TV turns on to?

hit menu button on your remote, navigate to channel setup menu. on the sub-menu, set channel fix to your channel that you require. now when your tv powers up this will be the default channel. if this doesn't fix your issue then try cycling through video inputs tv/video button on your remote.

I can't get my dish system to work with this TV. I'm only getting 2 chanels. How do I program new chanels to this TV? I need chanel 60.

It depends on the TV a bit. Which model of Broksonic TV do you have? Do you have the original remote? ( has replacement remotes for many TVs.) Look at the TV (or the original remote) for a menu or channel add subtract option. (The TV is probably programmed to skip the channels that didn't have a signal in the past so you need to reprogram this.) If the TV is a really simple TV (with just the channel and volume controls on the TV), you'll need the original or a direct substitute remote (or a higher end programmable remote). Most basic universal remotes will control power, channel and volume but not the reprogram channels option (in my experience). If you can program the add/remove channels, press 60 on the remote, wait for the TV to go to that channel and then press the Add Channel button. Alternately, with the satellite receiver on, press the combination to search all channels and program the skip to channels with signal.

I hope this helps.

(I had a really old Emerson TV; when the original remote started to fail, the cheap universal remote didn't handle the channel programming. Fortunately, the original remote would usually still work for that.)

Why does my RCA TV cycle through channels on its own?

this is the same type of problem happening with other rca models and I know it is the EPROM CHIP but why this is failing is either because of design flaw , dirty enviroment that they were made in , to much voltage or current to the chip or too much of a draw from the chip causing it to fail . Or even a random frequency from the IR sensor or its circut I'm still investigating and testing.
leave the tv unplugged for at least 3 weeks durring this time resolder any solder that don't look good , I did this and it lasted for about 6 months(always plugged in to the wall) before it started doing it again. model # 27v412t

Why does my RCA TV cycle through channels on its own?

Hi there!
I think your remote may be at fault. Liquid spill or sweat from the hand accumelates on the inside over some time and then becomes sticky. Some of the buttons may be permanently activated. Then other functions won't work. Have someone check it for you or if familiar yourself. Regards, JUS004

InputChannel without remote

Yes and no depends on the TV if you have a menu button press it and go to autoprogram and let it find all the channels then press channel down until you get to channel 1 then press it again and it should start cycling through aux inputs.sometimes TVs dont have a menu button and this is not possible.try simply pressing channel down until you get to channel 1 then maybe it will cycle through your inputs. Please rate me if this helps.
