start> type in System maintenece> look for camera, right click the + button then left click on camera and look in properties to see if it is installed or not or if the device is working.It can even update driver from there. If its new it should work and have a 12 month warranty where after you ring acer they pick it up and return in 5 to 10 days as long as you didnt cause the problem
