Need a 3.5 mm audio cable adapter that originally came with this speaker set. It is an 3 to 1 adapter, meaning you connect the green, black and orange inputs into the adapter than turns into 1 black...

Your speakers are for a 5.1 sound system, thats why you have the diffrent channels (green, black & orange). Ideallly you need a sound card that can give you this output and the motherboard will be having those same colours as well.

If your PC did not hvave this, then you should not have spent your money on such expensive spaekers.

In the mean time just use the green connector and you should have a few of your speakers and the subwoofer playing.

Sorry about that mate.

If I have a speaker driver problem that Dell can't fix, can I just buy a different type of speaker and have it work?

Good day nanny144, yes you can buy a different type of speaker, try out creatives, they have good quality spaeker sets, or any ordinary computer speakers will do.

My AS 500 Sound Bar speakers are crakeling (PArt # 4y463)

Usually, the crackling indicates a connection that's not making a good connection. you can try twisting the plug where it connects to your computer and see if you can get it to make a better connect. Also, you may try cleaning the plug itself. When cleaning contacts with any sort of household alcohol, be aware that it can leave a residue so you'll need to use a clean/dry tissue to dry the plug and remove any residue. -hope that helps.

Could be your sound card. Look to see if it has the minimum requirements as listed in your manual. Otherwise you could just be plugging it in wrong.

I need to reinstall the jasco 98903 2.1 speakers on my win xp.

Speakers in a sense do not need drivers, the component it the pc has to have them to provide sound. So find the drivers for your sound card on the disc that came with your computer. Or go to the product website and find the drivers there. After that u should be A for away.

No sound

be sure they are plugged into the right jack on back of sound card. Also, plug speakers into a second different PC with good working sound. This will verify that the spaekers are still ok. If speakers are ok, then check in control panel under Sounds, see if a sound cscheme is selected. If No Scheme selected, select one, then respond NO if prompted to keep scheme.
