Stoves 900GTF main oven flame keep flickering and reigniting

Probably the igniter is defective.

check the operators manual or with a servicing agent
being gas it may require the clicking to reignite the gas when the temp starts to cycle or there may be a problem in the control system for the gas operation

You may have problems with the gas valve, but check the wiresgoing to it first see anything came disconected

get in a gas fitter as there is a burner problem
probably best if you junk it and get a new unit
much safer with gas units

\i have a stoves 900 GTF double gas oven. The clock has suddenly started to flash. It does not enable me to set the time and therefore I cannot use the main bottom oven. I am unable to overide the auto to manual. Can anyone help me with instructions or with solving this problem. I have mislaid by instruction booklet. Thanks.

As an ex stoves enginneer, the problem may be one of three faults;
1. cracked electrode, what creats the spark in the oven
2.electrode lead has melted.
3. faulty ignition generator.
Try takin the lead off the electrode and placing it in the oven flame, if this stops the clicking, then replace the electrode.

This sounds like you have a flame switch getting ready to go out. The reason you are hearing the ticking noise is that after the ignition is satisfied the flame switch is not detecting and sending a signal to continue to try for ignition.

i am having the same problem but i have been told it is the cooler fan so i have ordered a new one,the fan unit requires running as it is linked to safety sensors the equal air preasure and if not equiled by the fan moter it cuts everything off and in my case it trips the mains power but may not in your case

Sometimes when I clean my cooker, and it gets damp, mine ignites like that. It soon stops after it dries out. Give it chance and see.
