Did what charlesrean (Solution 2)suggested and used a tea towel to take out the water from below salt cover but I also had to pull the dishwasher out slightly and tip forward a couple of inches. seems to have worked machine has started a new cycle no problem. Thanks guys

I had the same problem and had to call out the Service guy under the guarantee, he says the problem is caused by a small switch which is activated when the water does not drain away properly. He said my machine had not been fitted properly and was not level. I've called the kitchen company who fitted it to get it re-fitted. He said as soon as the machine was level the switch would re-set. I assume then if you could remove the machine yourself and turn it on it's side the switch would re-set, but I can't do that.

Tips for a great answer:
Good Afternoon friend, I appreciate your inquiry!
Typically on an Electrolux induction cooktop the "E4" error code stands for key sensor for timer. Which means you could be experiencing an issue with the right board, center board, or left board. I would perform a reset on your cooktop and you can do that by flipping the household circuit breaker off for ten minutes.
If that does not assist with clearing any false error codes or the error "E4" continues to display I would suggest seeking assistance from a professional for proper diagnosis and repair. Hopefully this helps. -Matt
