Question about Video Cameras
Can I align the heads on jvc grdv500 camcorder? I've cleaned them several times, and professionals charge too much for the service. I can see video when I fast forward or rewind (athough the edge is distorted) but it just goes to blue screen on playback.
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

The heads are probably dirty. First you can try to let a tape run through from start to end and see if it cleans the head. then try running in reverse play scan. Next try a head cleaner tape if you have not yet. If these things do not get your picture back you should take it to a repair shop, I do not recomend taking camcorders apart for cleaning at home. Full size VCR's are ok to clean your self with instructions but not camcorders because they are vary easy to damage worse without experiance and proper tools.

Try a DV tape cleaner first. If that doesn't work, see what it would take to get the audio heads realigned. Any camera store can do that for you.
