Don't run the setup program. Instead reboot your computer and use the windows add hardware wizard to install the drivers from the CD. The windows hardware wizard will detect several different devices, allow it to install them all from the CD.

I have just bought this mouse and keyboard, and it came with a small cd for driver installation. However when I referred to the manual it says the cd is only for Windows ME. Is that your problem?
Mine are working fine without the disk. There are small buttons on the underside of the keyboard and also on the mouse. These need to be pressed before they will work.
