i have a dvd/vcd/cd player dv-1701 and have dvds from usa and they do not work on my dvd player, how can i get the unlocking codes and how do i do it ?

You need a region free player or to change the region code to play region 1 for NTSC formatted USA discs.. To get your DV-1701 to play NTSC or PAL enter the following commands:
- (Press SETUP)
- Press "Shift"
- Press "Mark"
- Press "Stop"
- Enter "0,0,0"
- Enter "87154"
- Press "Shift"
- Enter the region or press Fast Forward (for multi region)
