RCA 27v520t will not turn on

During a storm the TV came on, and I turned it off, a few minutes later it came on again, and I turned it off. Went to turn it on later and it would not turn on. The power button shows the red light but if you press it nothing happens, no clicking, no indication that I pushed the button.
