Kenmore 665 Dishwasher Not Draining

-   Our dishwasher is not draining. We also found a round plastic piece that has a small whole in the center of it that we couldn't figure out where it came from. The little door that the detergent goes in seems to be making a clicking noise. It is also leaking a small amount of water out of the front of the unit during the cycle. My husband just installed a new sink and disposal. The disposal is on the opposite side this time. We would appreciate any help with this problem.
