Gas dryer wont run

Hi. there can be many issue that can cause this type of interruption in normal operations. Lets go threw a few.One could be a faulty or dead motor. The timer board sends a signal to the motor once the start button is pushed. If the motor is malfunctioning or the wires that connect to the motor are lose or old and worn, the motor will usually click or buzz. the fault itself can be within the timer assembly or the motor itself. the best way to find out is to test the current flow at the motor by using a multimeter. connect this meter to the motor terminals and select the cycle and hit the start button. if the meter reads voltage at the motor and the motor clicks or buzzes, this will confirm an actual motor failure. if the voltage at the motor is weak or not there 0, this means the timer will need to be replaced. Next, I would check the door switch for its operational value. you can use the same method as i discussed above with the meter. use the terminals for testing on the switch. This could be a problem area as well. if the switch is malfunctioning, the dryer will not run at all. you will find the problem in one or both of the discussed areas above.

please rate and god bless.

Dryer works fine but does not heat up

Hi, looks like there's 1 of 2 faults. Either the stats or the heating element. They are located at the back of the TD, covered bi a screwed panel. If you have a multimeter, turn it to buzz and check the connections. If the meter buzzes it's ok, if the meter doesn't buzz it's dead and needs replacing.

Dryer wont get hot in the am i try it it will wrk for one load then wont get hot same thing for 4 days now

I have a Whirlpool dryer with LP gas, 7 1/2 years old. It will fire up once or twice after started then the next time it is supposed to fire it will make a buzzing sound. No heat. It will not produce heat after this until it sits for awhile then the same thing, will fire once or twice then no more. I replaced the ignitor and this did not solve the problem although it did have a consistent firing for about 3 minutes immediately after I replaced the part. then it started buzzing again and would not fire anymore. The propane line doesn't appear to be the problem either since it will work initially. Also the gas water heater in the house works fine.

The start button only buzzes and won't engage in the typical spin cycle?

start button energise a relay that latches open and provdes the current path for the very heavy draw of heaters, and motor.
the relay is dead, or dying and instead of locking open is fluttering like a doorbell (buzz buzz).
Not a repairable item, it is replaceable and not very expensive, much less than a new dryer, last one purchased was $29.99
Relays are common to many dryers, the local parts guy will have one to match if you take the dead one.
typical relay looks something like this, not all are transparent

Dryer only works for about 20 minutes, buzzes then stops.

the dryer is over heating up due to a blocked steam pipe , fluff build up inside the dryer. I have a dryer that id the exact same thing , found out it covered in fluff though out the whole dryer , motor and element ..
