If the machine has not recognised that the ink has been replaced then the ink cart is most likely faulty. This is especially true if using compatible or re-manufactured inks instead of genuine ones.

Change the ink again.

How to Bypass the Printer Ink Chip in a Dell 515

I have a Dell v515 on Windows 7 64bit. I just figured out how to bypass the printer chip counter. Start --> Control Panel --> Devices and Printers. Right click on your printer, choose Printer Properties. Go to the Advanced tab and click the Print Processor button. Choose winprint for the print processor and NT EMF1.006 for the default data type (I found this choice has the best print results). This does not reset the chip, but just allows print jobs to be sent to the printer without having to go through the Dell software. I am not sure how this works with scanning or copying. My guess is that there may be times that you have to change back to the original Dell print processor and LEMF for the default data type. Hopefully this works for anyone reading this. Good luck!

How can I fix my printer

This error usually comes up when the ink system fails...

-- first hold down the OK & cancel button...
-- And if does nt work take out the ink cartridge take out the power of the printer ..
-- And then reconnect everything...

The printer working does not depend on its cartrage... Cartrage is just like ink in ur pen... If the nib of ur pen breaks then u cant blame on ink... Check whether the gare of ur printer moves if its nt then there is some problem in gare shifting ic or the rotator machine check it by giving it to some computer service shop

you could have one of several problems here.
i,d suggest printing several test pages, and observe whether the red comes through after this.
if this does,nt work remove the cartridge, and replace ensuring the cartridge goes in with a firm click.
finally if you have the original software installed for the printer, try a head cleaning operation.

Printer will not print

Firstky u need to make sure that the printer drivers are nt corrupted, i wuld suggest u reinstall them, make sure u do nt have any paper jam, check 4 small paper pieces inside, listen if the printer tries to pull the paper in.
