Re: connecting using WiFi

To enable and connect to WiFi:
1. Open Control Panel.
2. Go to Connections.
3. Then WLAN.
4. Open the menu and tick the 'Enable WLAN'. box. If already ticked, WiFi is on.
5. Then hit 'Scan'.
6. It will take a few minutes to come up with the networks in range.
7. When that is done, hit the arrows pointing together to connect to the selected hotspot.

1. Press the double arrow button at the bottom left hand side of the screen.
2. Open Connections.
3. Then Wireless LAN.
4. Continue from step 4 above.

Re: connecting using WiFi

Doesn't seem like a hardware issue..

I would suggest a Reset to your phone..

Just go to Control Panel > Master Reset..

Do take a back-up on your PC before as this process WILL ERASE data..

I am trying to get email access. I am not able to get my email even though my PDA says that it is connecting to my Wi-Fi

First you have to ensure that the problem is not from the internet connection. Try using the PDA and the same wireless connection to open a different site which is different from the email provider. If the other site opens then you are sure that the problem is from either the phone or the email service provider.
On the other hand if it does not open then this means that the recommended settings which are expected for the PDA to work with the wifi have not been properly set to give the PDA internet access. The device might be connected to the wifi but not connected to access the internet from the device. Try setting up the PDA and this time take care of the settings.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

I m a new user of htc s620. i dont know how to use wifi conection on it . i saw more videos on youtube but their programe was not in my phone and is the wifi conection works in pakistan? thank u

The wifi connection on your htc phone can be accessed by going to the connection settings which is located under the phone settings on your will see the option which says turn on wifi in the sub menu under the wifi, simply click on turn on,and you are good to go.

The wifi connection will only work in a location where there is broadband internet connection network which is shared and can be accesed by wifi, which is irespective of the country.
When you turn on the wifi connection on your phone,it automatically scans for available networks and you will be prompted to connect to any of the available networks it recognizes, but if it doesn't get any available network it means there is no wifi connection in the location you are situated.

Thanks and Good luck!!!!

My nokia communicator restart when browsing via wifi

This is common with the e-90 all you can do is try and reduce the amount of time using the wireless as the wireless card gets hotter until a point where the phone just restarts.

LG Incite Wifi Setting

connect to "internet"
authentication "open"
encryyption "WEP"
I let it assign it's own IP address

Start -> Settings -> Connections tab
WiFi -> Network Adapters tab
select "The Internet" and then select Broadcom 802.11 DHD Network Adapter

Start -> Programs -> Tools -> Proxy Manager
click on "Disable Proxy" and hit OK

Also, make sure you set the browser Home address to a valid address (otherwise it would complain about a connection loss each time you open the browser)..

If that doesn't help you then your lost.

AUDIOVOX XV6700 won't connect to wifi

Tap the "EV" or "1X" icon on the top of the today screen, and then tap settings. Select the Wireless LAN, and then tap the icon in the bottom left corner that looks like a target with parenthesis. That just got you to the communication manager. There you can toggle your "phone" on and off, as well as bluetooth, wireless and sound, among others (depending on what you have installed). when you tap the antenna for wireless, does it turn green, and the little "x" go away? That's what you need to figure out first, after that we can go look at some other things....

Http error $code$

i've gotten that a couple times when trying to connect via the internal modem, a simple reset usually fixed it. If your wifi settings are messed up make sure your wifi switch is on, ensure it is enabled in com manager too. Also, try removing the wireless network via the software and adding it again. if all that fails do a hard reset. If that fails you are pretty much out of luck. I had two MDA's.... they both slowly got **** as months went by and i constantly had to reload the firmware, you may want to consider a different model
