Problem for Sanyo VPC-E760 Digital Camera

I am trying to download my pictures from my camera

i am trying to download my pictures from my camera to my laptop. But it is not reading it. the camera screen comes up black but it use to say it was importing but no it does not just black.. im not sure if its the cord or the camera.. it cant be the computer bc i have tried 2 others and it does the same.
