Hello,
When LCD monitors start turning pink that is an indication that the backlight fluorescent bulbs are going out. The backlight bulbs are just like the bulbs in the lights in an office building only much smaller. The bulbs can be changed but it is not a task for a beginner to undertake. Your best course of action would be to get a replacement monitor. The parts to repair yours would run about $25-35 and would take several hours to repair.

Buddy,
RE: Pink monitor
Since it was not practical to repair the backlight bulb, I decided to take the monitor apart for a learning experience. I found several loose connections, but didn't go in far enough to see the actual backlight. I tightened up the connections and put the monitor back together. I decided to turn it on and see if my work helped any. It did! The picture is clearer and brighter than it has ever been. Will wonders never cease.
