I am trying to hook up 4 speakers. 2 speakers at the pool area, which is about 50 ft. on the main speaker. And 2 speakers in the patio where the receiver is, and that is wire to back speakers. From your description you have bad connections on the display board, or intermittent power feed from the main board, it will take somebody that is handy with a soldering iron or a professional to check it out.
use component audio to the HDTV and optical audio to your KLH reciever. The component and optical are always active at the same time. I work for TWC if you have more questions.
