Re: LG MP- 1482s INTERNAL LIGHT CHANGE
Manufacturers used to include access panels in the rear or side so you could easily change the bulb. That exposed the customer to 110V connectors, and that posed a real liability threat, so they stopped using them.
You now must generally remove the outer cover to replace the bulb.
In many over-the-range models, that can mean having to take the oven down from the wall! For safety's sake, that should be a two-person job and it's really helpful if you have your original installation instructions to do this.
Many models use one halogen lamp to illuminate the cooktop and another to illuminate the cavity. You must not touch them with your bare skin as the oils will shorten the bulb life.

Advantium - Interior Light Operation While Microwaving
The Advantium 240 oven interior (cavity) light will illuminate anytime the door is open.
However, due to the dark tint on the oven door, there is not a light on while cooking since the food would not be visible using the interior lamp. Food may be viewed during a microwave cycle by pressing the Microwave/Oven Light pad.
One of the Upper Level Speedcook lamps will come on for 5 seconds. The Microwave/Oven Light pad can be pressed up to 5 times during a microwave cooking cycle. The limit of 5 times is to prevent excessive heat on microwave cookware from the Speedcook lamp.
The Advantium 120 oven cavity is illuminated anytime the door is opened and while the unit is in the microwave only mode. As a result it will not have the Microwave/Oven Light pad.
The oven lamp is accessible when the whole outside cover of the oven is removed. The lamps these days are a special bulb and would be available from a TV repair place or a appliance repair centre.Take the old lamp in with you to pbtain the correct part.
A test bench will have known-good power, but disconnectable and on a breaker and metered, for example. The lamp will be disconnected by opening the thing up (hence, the workbench setting) and removing the lamp circuit connections in whatever way is most convenient.
The stirrer is often integrated with the output from the magnetron to the oven cavity; it's a microwave component that literally spins as the thing runs, and since the oven light is commonly on the same side easy to see moving or evidenced by changes in the back reflections from its vicinity. That is, you would notice some periodic change in the internal oven illumination from the stirrer's motion, which might have stopped around the same time the hum started....
Very easy to replace...at least on my JVM1790. Remove the top vent....the long plastic thing that runs along the top of the MW. Two screws on top of the micro. Behind the charcola filter (if you installed one) is an access area to the bulb. remove one screw and the entire assy comes out. Simply R & R the bulb.
