Question about Olympus Camedia C-750 Ultra Zoom Digital Camera

Camera gose back to defult setting

When I change batteries, the camera goes back to its defult setting. Accordind to the manual this should only happen if the batteries are out of the camera for more than an hour.
The time and date have to be reset, also the sound when the camera turns on goes back to on when it was in the off position, even with the reset turned off that also reverts back to on. I set my camera at SHQ and that reverts back to HQ. I have contacted Olympus and thay say I need contact Olympus UK for repair. That sounds expensive to my, do you have any ideas what the problem might be?

I have sony DSC-W190,i want correct menu setting ,bcos if i take a picture its not clear,i think may be menu setting changed, idnt any idea about menu setting pls help.....

If the Menu settings in the camera is changed, then I suggest you to reset the Camera back to factory default. Initializing the Camera back to factory default will set all the settings in the Camera back to factory default.
To initialize the Camera back to factory default, select the INITIALIZE Option from the Main Settings 1 Menu of the Camera to OK.This will set the user defined settings back to factory default. The images and videos will not get deleted.
You can also try a manual reset;

Turn off the camera.

Remove the battery pack.

Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.

Allow the camera to remain without power for 60 seconds.

Reinsert the battery pack.

Turn on the camera.

The blurry image capturing can also adjusted by changing the ISO Settings or the Scene Selection modes.

Thanks for using FixYa!

I can't find where to insert the memory card into the camera - nothing in the manual

The memory card goes into the same place the battery goes. There's a slight gap between the battery and the front of the camera, where the card goes in.

Look in the manual in the "Setting up your camera" section, under "Inserting the battery and memory card." It's page 6 in my copy of the manual, you may have a different edition.

Hi, I've scoured the 3 page manual and come up with this.:-
There is nothing wrong with your camera. The camera has a built-in power saving
feature that turns the camera off after 30 seconds of inactivity (default setting) to
conserve battery power. The auto off time setting can be changed in the set up menu.
Changing the Auto Off Time Setting:
1. Set the camera to Camera Mode.
2. Press the Menu button to display the main menu.
3. Press until the Setup is highlighted.
4. Press to enter the Setup submenu.
5. In the Setup menu, press to highlight “Auto Off Time”.
6. Press to enter “Auto Off Time”. Press to highlight the time you want.
7. Press the OK button to save your selection.
Hope this helps
