For cam w. man. produced batt. type Pls test with an alt. batt. If you do not have access to a dif. battery. Pls. take the batt out of the camera. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the batt.

Your problem could be the result of corrosion on the battery terminals inside the camera. Remove
the batteries and clean the battery contacts inside the camera
with a soft cloth (a heavy buildup on the contacts may require cleaning
with a fine wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue
that the cleaning leaves in the camera, clean both ends of each battery, and then reinstall the
batteries. This clears most power-on problems, but if yours persists,
check the Kodak troubleshooting guide at:
- This problem is normally due to corroded
battery contacts. Remove the batteries and wipe the contacts inside the camera with a
clean soft cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a fine wire
brush, steel wool, or fine sandpaper). Once the contacts are clean,
remove any specks that may have fallen into the battery compartment
during the cleaning, clean the batteries, and reinstall them in the
camera.
This cures the problem about 90% of the time.

Recently the quality of my photos has declined. Some photos are still great, then others are very dark as though the flash is not working properly. I have adjusted the flash to every setting and it doesn't seem to help any.
