My kodak digital camera wont stay on!

What model is your camera?

For cam w. non man. produced batt. type
Pls. use: AA non-rechargeable lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher).

Make sure that you are installing a fresh/ full charge battery
Remove the memory card and the battery
Clean the metal contacts on the battery using a clean cloth
Use the camera w/o the memory card

For cam w. man. produced batt. type
Pls test with an alt. batt.
If you do not have access to a dif. battery.
Pls. take the batt out of the camera. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the batt.
If not you will need to order a No power repair.

Your problem could be the result of corrosion on the battery terminals inside the camera. Remove the batteries and clean the battery contacts inside the camera with a soft cloth (a heavy buildup on the contacts may require cleaning with a fine wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that the cleaning leaves in the camera, clean both ends of each battery, and then reinstall the batteries.
