Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G Router (DSLSWRT54G)
When I plug in the router before I connect any wires to it, all of the lights are lit up green and do not change if I reset the router or connect any wiring. Also, the modem does not recognize the router being connected. This problem happened while it was fully functional and in use at the time and has not been working since then.
Is it garbage? The router is fairly new and would hate to see my money go to waste.
Knowing Linksys products fairly well this an axact problems that I've had in the past. Sorry to say this but the internal circuitry has gone bad. If you call linksys thewy will do a cross ship exchange. Meaning if you give them a credit card they will send a new unit and you send the older unit. If your out of warranty they still sometimes do this out of courtesy. Thier tech support number is (800) 326-7114.
For the second guy, if the lights stay constantly lite it's the same problem
