Sansa e280 won't upload my photos. Do I need media manager or something?

You need to use the Sansa Media Converter to convert pictures to a format the Sansa can handle. They also need to go into the internal memory, as the e280 will not display pictures from a microSD card.

Sansa 280e mp3 player

Call technical suport at Sandisk. You might have a corrupt file. They will walk you through the steps. You may have to reformat which means you will lose everything you already loaded. I've had mine for about a year and it's still working fine. You may need to load the latest firmware as well.

My e280 has 8gb but only 2.5gb shows with nothing on it have upgraded firmware but still the same

Sounds like you may have some corrupt music on the device.

Try formatting the device thru My Computer.

My Computer>Device Name (e280)>Right Click and select FORMAT.

This will erase everything and you should see all of your space available again.

Best of Luck.

Trying to format

Are you formatting thru My Computer? If so try using Computer Management. Right click on My Computer and select Manage. On this window select Disk Management on the left. On the right side at the top, your drive should be listed. Right click on the device and select format. If your device does not show up, change the devices mode and try again. Device>Settings>Mode or USB Mode. Best of Luck.
