Question about Sony KP-53S65 53" Rear Projection Television

Conversion of PAL (B) into NTSC

My friend brought a Sony KP-53S65 Rear Projection TV from the US. He went back but gave the TV to me. The TV just does not work! I am told that it is because in India we have PAL (B) signals whereas in US it is the NTSC. Hence I require to convert the sgnal input to NTSC.
Kindly advise the best method to achieve the result.

Can't display Pal on My Sony 57" KP-57WS520

There are probably a few problems here. What are you using to play the disc? Some NTSC players will "play" a PAL disc but interpret it as NTSC with the symptom you are describing. You need a DVD player that will play PAL. Many of those will output NTSC directly when set up to do so. The other alternative is to have a PAL compatible player that will output PAL into the converter. To narrow this down specifically, please post the model numbers and the connection scheme for your equipment. Once I understand your current setup, I should be able to describe a method to get this to work for you.
