Question about JVC AV-36D104 36" TV
Service Menu if nothing worked yet. Try Press the sleep timer key for 0 min. Then press the display key and video status key of the remote control unit at the same time to enter the Service Menu. Then press up or down key of the menu to select the items that you are looking for. Exit key will return to previous screen.

Check cables run from ps3 to tv and dvd to tv, and tell me where they are going to. What happens exactly when you push input button? Make sure Ps3 is on and running same with dvd when pressing input button, can you press your menu button and get menu on tv display?

make sure slider on remote is set on tv on tv/catv switch
if you press the game button does it tell that mode is on and what input does it select?
input button should cycle modes I can't see how this can be blocked out, did you try premtech's solution to reset this block?...I guess you just did
You want it on then can you cycle input?
Unplugging the power cord for an hour may help, but to do a full reset you must leave it unplugged or 3 or 4 hours. That will restore all the internal soft codes to the factory default settings.
Does that mean you can now get the game working?
Sound like the power off reset might be the plan here otherwise
Without knowing how it is setup and what has been changed it is very diificult to help you properly, I suggest you redo inital setup via menu, if you need you manual you can download it HERE

Jand,
Try unplugging the Tv for about 15 minutes then plug it back in and power it up. That should clear the micro of any settings lock and restore the Tv to factory settings. Then see if you can change to your different inputs.

the cables with the dvd player and the ps3 are properly connected to the back of the tv and was fine before all of this. when I push the input button the tv just blibks and stays on the same channel its on.. kind of like its the only input so instead of it changing to the next video or whatever it just stays on the same. I can get to the menu settings and display
I unplugged the tv for the 15 minutes you said and and when I turned it back on along the bottom of the screen it said:
03 signature idiocracy something like that it was quick.
the slider on my remote is set to tv I hit game and it said:
game mode on
input is video -3
and when I it it again it says:
game mode off
input tv
when I had put it back on game and I pressed the input it went back to the tv when I tried to press input again it wouldnt go back to the game unless I pressed game again.
im not sure about the game but I do know I cant get to the dvd input one.... sorry Im not sure maybe I think thats video1 or 2??
Ok I have left it off all night and still am habving the same problem I have my manual and went throught that all first Im not having anyother problems with anything else except I cant get to my inputs.... that main menu isnt even the menu that was messed with the service menu the one someone would use to come and service your tv and we cant get it back up so my husband can try and find what he changed. I looked up online to try to get ways to get back to that service menu and all the ways I had found didn't work.
My service menu on my TV kept coming up Im not sure if my baby got hold of the remote which he usually finds a way to and is some genious to getting the service menu to come up but I would just hit exit 2 times and it would go away... no problems... Well my husband took the initiative and decided to MESS with it and now I cant use the ps3 or the dvd player because when I try to press input it wont go to anything else besides what its set to. I have tried to look up online and tried about 5 different ways to get back to the service menu everything you all said plus a few others online I had found (not that it would really do me any good because I really dont know what the settings are supposed to be set to in the first place) PLEASE help!!

Sorry I wasnt sure how to repost the question. I just wanted to be sure that everything I had tried already would post as well. I need to get back to the service menu that a professional would use instead of opening up the whole tv thats the servie menu that came up my husband seems to think he will be able to figure out what he had pressed by we cant even get to the service menu anymore. This service menu just popped up I just simply would hit exit twice and exit out of it.
These are codes I already tried to get to the service menu that havent worked:
JVC:
Newer ones with the full colour menus...
Go into the menu, select CLOCK SET, and you will get the clock set
menu. Set the clock to 3:21 AM. As soon as you select "Start Clock",
you see a flashing "THANK YOU". WHILE THIS IS STILL FLASHING hit MUTE
then UP/DOWN. You will then be in a service menu which will let you
change all kinds of neat things.
5.11 JVC TELEVISIONS
Read the _ SERVICE MODE WARNING _ before proceeding.
With TV powered ON press: [DISPLAY] and [VIDEO STATUS] on the remote at the same time.
-or-
Press the [SLEEP TIMER] key and set the SLEEP TIMER for "0" MIN. While the SLEEP TIMER information is still on screen, press the [DISPLAY] key and [VIDEO STATUS] key of the remote control unit at the same time to enter the SERVICE MENU.
Exit the service menu by twice pressing the [EXIT] key on the remote.
THIS ONE I DONT EVEN HAVE A PICTURE MODE:
1. TV turned on
2. Press the 'Display' and 'Picture Mode' keys at the same time, on the remote.
You are now in the Adjustment mode
I tried that and it didn't work I made sure a few times that I pressed it at the same time too.... I had tried that lastnight as well I had a found a few codes like that do you know of any other ones or any other way to access that?
