The motherboard could have over-heated which can damage the wireless board. Some laptops have problems with this, and the only way to fix it is replacing the motherbaord. Contact the store you bought the laptop from, or ring the make of your laptop. They will be able to tell you if it is a common fault, or what they can do for you. It will be covered in the manufacturers warranty.

Or there might be a possibility it was deleted from the computer, or the drivers have been removed, but it most likely the hardware, not the software.

Hi My Acer Aspire isn't able to connect to the internet through Wifi or through land-ethernet cable. It's as if it isn't even recognizing that the connection is there. It doesn't list the wifi signals...

Sounds like 1. your wireless antenna is turned off.. there is usually a switch on the laptop chassis.. or it is a function f key togggle. 2 your network interface card could be disabled.

On my D-Link Dir-825 Wireless Router, can I change my wireless networks name without having to go around reconnecting all the computers in my house afterwards

If your network is "unsecure", which means no pass keys will be provided by client computer when they connect, then you can do it. Just change your SSID from your router's admin interface and your connecting computers will recognize it as a new network and try to negotiate connection. If there is a passkey, then the connecting computers will be prompted for a pass key (though it is an old pass key) since they recognize it as a new network.

type that in ur addressbar and it should take u to ur linksys page
password might be one u set up or it could be username (blank)
