I bought a camera from a friend, Olympus e-420. but when i started to use it, i always got dark picture even the flash is already switched on. i'm thinking the built-in flash is delayed, do i have way to...

There are multiple reazons for the picture to look dark, a very short exposure, or a low flash intensity.
Try changing the flash intensity, this is done by pressing the Exposure compensation and flash button simultaneously.
Or playing with the exposure settings to see if there is any difference.
Concerning the ORF file format, this is this camera's RAW format, it's usefull to proffesionals, but for the common user, JPEG is the best option. As far as I know, this camera records both formats simultaneously.
For future refferences, here is the user manual : http://www.olympusamerica.com/files/oima_cckb/E-420_Instruction_Manual_EN.pdf

Can't play the video that i downloaded on my samsung champ.

you will not be able to play videos that are not supported on your phone unless the format of that video is changed. be sure about which format videos your phone supports and then either download videos of that format only or change the format of that video into supportable format. also resolution matters. so try changing the resolution as well.

Word Component1 shows up when changing local channels

Your Direct TV box is switching between a Standard Definition channel and a High Definition channel. When this happens, the TV has to switch the display format. As the format is changing, you will briefly loss picture, the TV detects the new format, and then displays it. What you are seeing is the normal operation of the TV. It the TV did not blank the picture, you would see a broken chopped up picture during the transition. If you are familiar with the setup menu of the Direct TV box, you could change the video format settings so than it locks to the High Definition format. If you are not familiar with the Setup menu, you should contact Direct TV and ask then to walk you though this procedure. Specifically, ask them to "Help me set my Direct TV box so that it always displays in 1080i format." You pay for them for the service, they should be able to provide you with some phone support at no charge. I hope this was helpful, best wishes.

Windows unable to complete format.

How did you format the computer, inside windows or outside?
Try this change the boot sequence from the BIOS instead of booting first to HD make your optical drive as first boot. After changing the boos sequence insert the windows vista disk to the drive then restart the computer. When it boots it will ask you to press any key to boot to CD/DVD. Keep tapping on space bar. If you notice it will say windows copying files. When copying files completed we isolated the problem dvd rom is fine and the vista installer is fine as well.
If the problem only started in or during attempting to format you HDD might causes the problem.

Scanned files are too big

Change the file format its saving in. different formats have different compression rations. Jpg images are smaller than bmp images. simply by changing it to jpg it will be 20 times smaller. To do this when click save and the save image box appers, in the format type select jpg or gif or what ever is avilable. Play around to see what gives you the smallest size. You can also use software like Photoshop, paint, and other image editors to change the format its being saved in.

Look on your remote and see if there is a "Format" button, press this to cycle through the different format options, and find one that fits.

If there is not a Format button on your remote, try looking in the setup menus and see if there is an option for formatting or zoom.
